The Morris Township Historical Society was formed in 1980.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Flea Market at the Park

We are excited to announce we have joined in on the fun with the Flea Market at the Park on Saturday, September 2, 2023. The event runs from 8am – 4pm. We will open the school house for tours and information at 10am and be there until 4pm.

We will have:

  • Flea Market Items
  • Lottery Basket Raffle
  • Pictures and Info about Morris Township

State Police History

Meeting Recap – June 2022

A great evening at the Archer School House. Officer Bob Copechal told us history of the Pennsylvania State Police and answered our numerous questions on the topic of law enforcement. Also brought along some pictures and items from the history of Pennsylvania State Trooper history!

Guest Speaker: Stu Boyd

On Monday, Oct 11th, 2021, the Morris Twp Historical Society hosted Stu Boyd, former teacher, counselor and historian as our speaker who presented information on Indians of the Youghagany. Guests were treated with a plethora of knowledge amid graphs, maps and Indian artifacts. Community Picnic Open House

On August 21st, 2021 the Morris Township Historical Society held an Open House complete with a Chinese Auction. We also took prior orders for wine slushie kits. The community really reached out to help with over 30 baskets and gift cards to raffle off. The Historical Society would like to thank everyone involved. Our profits were over $800.00! A Huge THANK YOU to everyone who braved the heat to attend!
