Guest Speaker: Stu Boyd

On Monday, Oct 11th, 2021, the Morris Twp Historical Society hosted Stu Boyd, former teacher, counselor and historian as our speaker who presented information on Indians of the Youghagany.

Guests were treated with a plethora of knowledge amid graphs, maps and Indian artifacts. Stu spoke of their habits, religion, hunting skills, mentality and eventual loss of freedom to live on their own land. Stu finished the evening by answering questions the guests had.

We are so grateful to Stu Boyd for such a poignant view of the harsh lifestyle these indigenous people both endured, and created for the settlers who became their victims.

A big thank you to John Lindsey for providing a sound system for the evening!
