Supervisor Meeting Minutes – September 7, 2021

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.  Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Dave Dietrich and Doug Smith, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Greg Dunn, Randy Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Dusty Stockdale, Pegg Smith.

Meeting called to order at 7:30

A motion was made by Smith to accept minutes from the August 17 meeting with one correction, adding “wifi” before hotspot in that comment.  Second by Dietrich.  All agreed.

Road master report read.

In old business, wifi hot spot progress was mentioned, Mcg. revitalization group representatives will attend the Oct. 5 meeting.

In new business, Randy Hamilton asked if the township was looking into attorneys since our solicitor is retiring.  There was discussion on the subject. 

MMO for pension plan was presented to Board of Supervisors.

Trick or Treat for Morris Township will be on Sunday, October 31 from 2:00 to 3:00.

Smith brought up a concern with a driveway on a curve where it is difficult to see on Weir Cole Rd.  He asked if the road crew can look into a sign or mirror for that corner so people can see if something is coming. Bob Sanders also voiced a concern about a car not pulling completely into the driveway.

The 2020 census numbers were briefly discussed.  Christmas lights were brought up again. Smith will follow up. 

Randy asked about the Planning commission having information in advance for their meetings.

Fall clean up day will be Saturday, October 2.

Motion by Smith to review and pay bills.  Second by Sanders.  All agreed.
