Supervisor Meeting Minutes – September 5, 2023

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.  Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto, Rob Sanders and Dave Dietrich, Zoning officer Bob Sanders and Greg Dunn.

Meeting was called to order at 6:00.    Public Participation: none

Motion by Sanders to approve the minutes from the previous meeting as written. Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.

Police report was given by Chief Will DeForte. Bob Sanders asked question about reciprocity between States for carry permits.

Fire Report given by Dave Dietrich, there were 18 calls in the last month, two during working hours.

Road Report was read.

Old Business:   A cost was given for by West Penn Power for the replacement of the streetlights.  That cost will be $211.28.  Supervisors will be meeting with the designer to discuss the changes.

The finding of facts and conclusions of law for the Consol Conditional use hearing for the G6 bleeder fan has been reviewed by the Supervisors and a short discussion was held. After which, a motion by Sanders to approve the conditional use was made, seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.

New Business: Motion by Sanders to pass resolution 5 of 2023 stating that the PMRS employee contribution will be 8% for 2024. It will need to be amended each year and will be as long as PA continues reimbursement for that amount. Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed. 

The 2024 PMRS MMO was presented to the board by Secretary Bartolotto.

Motion by Sanders to add the Excalibur invoice to the agenda.  Seconded by Dietrich. All agreed.

There was discussion on Excalibur and the paving work done on the walking trail. Since all paperwork is complete and bonding in place, the construction company is asking for payment on the invoice.  It was determined that if there are any issues discovered during the inspection by DCNR, the bonding will cover any thing that has to be corrected.  Motion by Dietrich to release payment to Excalibur as all of the required paperwork and bonding is in place.  Seconded by Bartolotto.  All agreed.

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills, seconded by Bartolotto, all agreed.
