The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building. Present were Supervisors Dave Dietrich, Sam Bartolotto and Patrick Bracey, Zoning officer Bob Sanders, Mike & Billie Schwarz, Greg & Susan Dunn, Randy Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Doug & Pegg Smith, Rob Sanders, Rick Sanders, Kevin Phillips, Bob Fisher, Judy Fonner, Julie Fonner and Michaela Bracey. The meeting was called to order at 7:00.
Public Participation
Mike Schwarz suggested more trash cans and dog waste stations in park. Susan thanked the Supervisors and road crew for their help with Rise Against Hunger. 175 people participated and 62,500 meals were packed. Susan requested September 26, 2026 for the next event. Doug discussed the schoolhouse painting (complete) and bee removal (upcoming) and signs on pavilions. Bob Fisher thanked Supervisors for their help with the Minor Ln property. Judy Fonner presented the supervisors with a donation of $500 for the fish pond fence. Rick Sanders voiced concerns with the CNX property on Mt. Zion Rd. and requested a bulk water station, which is currently being planned. Randy asked about budget workshop and Act 537 planning.
Motion by Bracey to accept minutes from previous meeting as written, seconded by Dietrich, all in favor.
Financial Report was available for review. Police Report was available for review. Roadmaster reported that new trucks are in and everyone is welcome to check them out.
Fire Dept Report: 17 calls last month, 5 responded to during work hours.
Old Business
Minor Lane Property, discussion on lien being filed and contractor being paid. Act 537: still waiting on Consol.
Resolution #3 (America 250 Grant) motion by Bracey to pass, seconded by Bartolotto, all in favor.
Resolution #4 (State LSA Grant) motion by Bracey to pass, seconded by Bartolotto, all in favor.
Resolution for Borrowing Capital (trucks) is on hold while Solicitor’s office looks into details.
New Business
Motion by Dietrich, seconded by Bracey to advertise and put 2008 International Dump truck on Municibid for sale, all in favor.
Trick or Treat will be held Sunday, October 26 from 2-3:00.
Motion to review and pay bills made by Bracey, seconded by Bartolotto, all in favor.
