Supervisor Meeting Minutes – October 19, 2021

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors meet for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.

Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Dave Dietrich and Doug Smith, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Greg Dunn, Dusty Stockdale, Glenn Crouse, Karen Shaw, Randy Hamilton, Dave Watt and McGuffey School Board Write in Candidate Justin Coppola.

Meeting called to order at 7:30. Motion to approve minutes from previous meeting as written by Sanders.  Second by Dietrich.

Roadmaster report read.

In old business: Smith spoke to Jim Cannon from First Energy who says it is possible that we can have the Christmas lights approved this year. Sanders has been looking into prices. They are between $300-$500 per decoration.   He will look into ordering and delivery timing.

In New Business: Justin Coppola spoke about his candidacy for McGuffey School Board. Discussion ensued.

Pam brought up a life insurance plan offered by PSATS that she is interested in participating in. Motion by Smith to allow employees to participate in plan at 100% of cost to the employee. Second by Sanders, all agreed.

Sanders brought up the need for garage doors for the cinder shed because of a pigeon problem.  Glenn Crouse brought up a repellant that was used a while back by Terminex that took care of the problem.  Sanders will check with our pest control company to see if they have anything similar.  Motion by Sanders to get bids on doors as well just in case the deterrent is no longer available.  Second by Smith.  All agreed.

ARPA Revenue Replacement Calculator was discussed.  The township will be able to use all of the money received with no stipulations because of the loss in revenue from 2019 to 2020.

Discussion on attorneys.

Dave Watt had info on an incorrect sign on 221.  The road crew will check it out and PennDOT will be called if necessary.

Motion to review and pay bills by Sanders, second by Smith. All agreed. Meeting adjourned 8:20
