Supervisor Meeting Minutes – November 17, 2020

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular scheduled meeting at the municipal building.  Present were Supervisors Dave Dietrich, Rob Sanders and Doug Smith,

Zoning officer Bob Sanders and Randy Hamilton.

Meeting called to order at 7:30.  Motion by Sanders to accept the minutes from the November 3 meeting.  Second by Smith. All agreed.

There was discussion on activities of road crew, news from Smith on Castro well site. Drilling is to start Jan 1, fracking in March and should be complete by June. There was also discussion on wifi boosters, signals and new equipment coming out from Verizon.

Randy suggested that the supervisors start looking for someone to fill the vacant zoning hearing board position.  Dietrich stated he has been asking around.

Doug suggested a form for tracking the deductible reimbursement payments for the employees. He will drop of the template for Pam to look at and use as a guideline.

In new business:  Smith suggested we start thinking of ways to tighten the budget up for the future because the Act 13 and liquid fuels payments are decreasing. 

The 2021 proposed budget was discussed. 

Motion by Sanders to adopt the proposed 2021 budget. 2nd by Dietrich, all agreed.  It will be available for the public to inspect. 

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills, 2nd by Smith.  All agreed.
