The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building. Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto, Rob Sanders and Dave Dietrich, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Police Chief Will Deforte, Officer Nate Ferree, Patrick Coburn, Randy Hamilton, Tim Hamilton.
Meeting called to order at 6:00.
Public Participation: Randy Hamilton asked the Board to consider moving back to one Road Foreman next year and to consider hiring engineering firms by the project instead of appointing one for the year.
Motion by Sanders to accept the minutes from the last meeting as written. Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.
Police report read: 58 citations have been written so far this month. There is one active investigation. Having a “substation” at the Municipal Building was discussed, as well as hours worked and cost to Township.
Road Report was read.
Fire Dept Report: 18 calls in last month. 5 responded to by Dave during working hours.
Old business: Police agreement is up for renewal. Motion by Sanders to renew contract for 12 months starting January 1, 2023, for the cost of $54,600.00 per year for 24 hours of service a week.
Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.
Motion by Sanders to accept proposed budget with no tax increase. Seconded by Dietrich. All agreed.
Budget will be available at the Township Building for review.
Motion by Sanders to approve the Subdivision request from Consol to give 11.381 acres to neighboring property owner, Scherich. Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.
Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills. Seconded by Dietrich.
