The Morris Township Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.
Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto, Rob Sanders, and Dave Dietrich, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Karen Shaw, Patrick Coburn, Randy Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Doug Smith, Dave Franz, Irene Franz.
Meeting called to order at 6:00.
Chairman Sanders presented a plaque to the family of Bob Franz in appreciation and remembrance of his service on the Planning Commission. Bob will be greatly missed.
Public participation: None
Motion by Sanders to accept minutes from previous meeting as written. Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.
Road report read.
In Old business: We finally were able to speak to someone at West Penn Power and we are supposed to be hearing from someone soon about the street light upgrade.
The Consol property has been surveyed and we hope to have that approved for the sewage treatment plant soon.
In New business: The police agreement is up for renewal. Dietrich suggested tabling the decision until the next meeting so that the police chief can be here to talk about the terms of the new agreement. All agreed.
Health insurance is up for renewal. The most comparable plan will be at an increase of $242 per month. Dave Franz stated that the increase is in line with the average increase for the year. Motion by Sanders to renew at that plan, seconded by Dietrich, all agreed.
After discussion with Mr. Coburn, motion by Sanders to appoint Patrick Coburn to the vacant seat on the Planning commission. Seconded by Bartolotto, all agreed.
Dietrich mentioned that our temporary summer help, Chuck is done for the year and we don’t really have any news on Jeff’s return.
Motion to review and pay bills by Sanders, seconded by Dietrich. All agreed.
