The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building. Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Dave Dietrich and Sam Bartolotto, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Greg Dunn, Tim Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Doug Smith. Meeting called to order at 6:00.
Public Participation: Randy Hamilton asked if there is any update on the streetlights. We have not heard anything yet.
Doug Smith asked about his telephone wire that was snagged when the road crew were ditching by his house. Dietrich stated he was aware and called Verizon to let them know. The lines are supposed to be buried at least 18” but this one was only about 2”.
Road report was read.
Motion by Sanders to approve the minutes from the last meeting as written. Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.
There was an asphalt bid on one of the bids that came in for the last meeting that was at the bottom of the sheet and missed. It was the only asphalt bid. Motion by Sanders to award the bid for 9.5mm asphalt at $70 a ton and 19mm at $60 a ton to Arcosa (formerly Laurel Aggregates). Seconded by Dietrch. All agreed.
Motion by Sanders to accept renewal increase for vision insurance through Highmark at an increase of .39 per month. Seconded by Dietrich. All agreed.
Motion to review and pay bills by Sanders, seconded by Dietrich. All agreed.
