Supervisor Meeting Minutes – March 15, 2022

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.

Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto and Rob Sanders, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Greg Dunn, John & Kelly Anderson, Tim Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Rick Sanders, Jeff Mooney.

Meeting was called to order at 6:00.

Public Participation:

Randy had questions about hiring for summer, walking trail, sewage treatment plan and comments about the audit.

Motion by Sanders to accept the minutes from the March 1 meeting as written, seconded by Bartolotto.

In old Business:  The request for troopers has been put in to the State Police. 

There is a softball team that will be using the ball field for practice this spring/summer.  They will provide a certificate of insurance to the township.

In new business: The Anderson subdivision survey was presented. The Morris Township Planning Commission recommended it for approval at their March meeting. Motion by Sanders to approve subdivision, seconded by Bartolotto.

Mention that the sewage plan cannot move forward until a location for the plant is secured.  We are currently waiting on word of that. 

Motion by Sanders to add Heavy Haul agreements to agenda, seconded by Bartolotto. 

There are three heavy haul agreements proposed by EQM for Bells Lake, Pie Ridge and Lindley Hill Rd.  Bonds have been received as well as application fees and escrow funds to cover any costs incurred. 

Motion to approve agreements by Sanders, seconded by Bartolotto.

There was a suggestion by a resident to upgrade the street lights to more efficient LED lights, which will save the township money in the lighting bill each month.   The township will inquire into the cost of replacing them.

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills, seconded by Bartolotto.
