Supervisor Meeting Minutes – March 1, 2022

The Supervisors of Morris Township met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.

Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto, Dave Dietrich and Rob Sanders, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Doug Smith, Randy Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Dave Watt, Jeff Mooney, Marissa King.

Meeting was called to order at 6:00.

Public Participation: Dave Watt mentioned that the 221 N road sign that is in the wrong place has not been corrected yet. Dietrich stated that he will be talking to PennDOT tomorrow and will remind them.

Also that a federal officer has been clocking trucks going through town at over 60mph and said the township can put in a formal request for state police presence. 

Randy spoke about baseball teams who may use the park, the Washington County Sanitary Authority, summer mowing, sewage treatment plant and the engineering firm.

Doug spoke of the walking trail engineer and the truck sign. Sanders explained the delay in the sign.

Dave Watt volunteered to be on the Sanitation Authority if there is a vacancy.

The road report and a VFD summary were given by Dietrich.

In old business: Motion by Sanders to adopt Resolution 1 of 2022 setting a fee schedule. Second by Bartolotto, all agreed.

Southwest PA Water Authority stated that, in order to extend water lines into Washington County, the township should write them a letter inviting them to bring the water lines across the county line.

In new business:  Pam stated that the audit is complete and available for review at the office and that the state road funds have been deposited into the road account. 

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills, second by Dietrich.  All agreed.

Meeting adjourned at 6:27
