Supervisor Meeting Minutes – June 7, 2022

The Board of Supervisors of Morris Township met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.   Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Sam Bartolotto and Dave Dietrich, Zoning officer Bob Sanders, Greg Dunn, Tim Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Dusty Stockdale, Doug Smith, Patrick Bracey, Jeff Mooney.

Meeting called to order 6:00.

Public participation:  Randy Hamilton asked about the warranty on the new truck motor, purchasing of new truck or trucks, private fundraising for the walking trail. There was discussion on trucks/budgeting.

Dusty Stockdale asked if he could use some of the millings that were dropped off from the state. He thought that they were from state roads and would like to use some. Sanders and Dietrich responded that most of what is in the pile is from township roads and the township uses it in road patching. Dietrich stated that it would be considered.

Motion by Sanders to accept the minutes from the previous meeting as written.  Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.

Road Report read. VFD report: There were 16 calls in the last month.  Dietrich responded to one medical call during township working hours.

Old Business:  There was a discussion on the incorrect bid amount by Russell Standard. They put $3.05 on the bid for MC-70 but the actual price was supposed to be $5.05. That number was mixed up with another amount from the bid sheet and put on the wrong line. Questions about bid bonding.

Motion by Sanders to pull the Russell Standard bid and accept the bid of $4.40 from Midland Asphalt as the low bid.  Seconded by Dietrich.  All agreed.

A thank you letter was received from the bike race organization for allowing them to use our roads for their gravel race.

No new business.

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills.  Seconded by Dietrich.  All agreed.

Meeting adjourned 6:21
