Supervisor Meeting Minutes – June 1, 2021

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.  Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Dave Dietrich and Doug Smith, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, John, Laura and Samantha Zoeller, Greg Dunn, Dave & Laura Watt, Karen Shaw, Sam Bartolotto, Dusty Stockdale and Glenn Crouse.

Motion by Smith to accept minutes from previous meeting as read.  2nd by Sanders. All agreed.

Smith explained the Citizen Recognition Award and said he would like for it to be ongoing.  If anyone has a Morris Township resident that they would like to nominate, the supervisors will consider them.

Samantha Zoeller received the first award for the Grandma’s Lap organization that she started as a senior project and is still operating, making and distributing lap blankets to people who are undergoing kidney dialysis.

Road Master report read.

In Old Business:  Smith contacted Jim Watson twice to ask him to come to a meeting to discuss his business on 221 but he has not yet been able to attend. He will try one more time.

The Washington County Food Bank called in a request asking to use the parking lot of the municipal building as a distribution site for their quarterly outreach distribution to be held on the 2nd Wednesday of July.  There was discussion about locations.   Motion by Smith to allow them to use it once as a test run to see how it goes.  2nd by Dietrich.

Motion by Smith to make a set application fee for the Conditional Use Hearing Application and if it is more than the actual cost, the difference will be refunded to the applicant.  2nd by Dietrich. All agreed.

Greg Dunn thanked the road crew for the monument movement to the park.

Motion by Smith to review and pay bills, 2nd by Sanders.  All agreed.
