The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building. Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto and Rob Sanders, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Police Chief Will DeForte, Greg Dunn, Doug and Pegg Smith.
Meeting was called to order at 6:00.
Public Participation: Doug asked about the signs on the pavilions and if there was any public discussion or vote on them. He is considering filing a Sunshine Law violation complaint. Chairman Sanders stated that Range and Consol/CNX had contributed to the renovation of the park, and he just thought it was a way to show appreciation.
Motion by Sanders to accept minutes as corrected for a typo, seconded by Bartolotto.
Police report was read by Chief DeForte. A weekly report will be available to review on the bulletin board at the front of the Municipal Building.
Road Report was read.
Old Business: As an addition to the walking trail, Sanders would like to put a fishpond in the area of the covered bridge. There was discussion on the funding and maintenance of the pond. The township will ask for donations to cover all or most of the cost.
Motion by Sanders to add the pond to the walking trail plan, seconded by Bartolotto.
Motion to pass Resolution #2 of 2023 (correction: it was incorrectly stated by Pam as 1 at the meeting, it is actually 2) stating that the employer contribution to the pension plan will be 8% for 2023 as the State is still reimbursing the township for that amount. Seconded by Bartolotto.
Motion to review and pay bills by Sanders, seconded by Bartolotto
Meeting adjourned at 6:25.
