1. Call meeting to order
The January 5, 2026, Regular Meeting of the South Strabane Township Board of Supervisors (“Board”) came to order at 7:36 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Municipal Building (550 Washington Road, Washington, PA 15301).

5. Correction/Approval of minutes from previous meeting
Motion by Bracey to accept the minutes from the last meeting as written, seconded by Finch, all in favor. Motion Passed.

10. Old Business
Motion by Bracey to approve purchase of defibrillator, seconded by Finch. All in favor, motion passed.
11. New Business
a. Motion: Note that the tax collector must be bonded for a minimum of 30% of the tax amount collected. Assessed Values for morris township for 2026 are $115,387,986.00. Expected collection at face value is $84,233.33. Bond amount is $25,269.97.
Motion by Bracey to approve payment of Township Tax Collector Bond, premium amount of $1,181.00, seconded by Coffield. All in favor, motion passed.
b. Comcast Franchise Agreement renewal
Comment: Mr. Finch stated he would like to review the Agreement and revisit at February’s meeting.
c. NorthStar Cell Tower
Comment: Mr. Finch stated the first towers could be coming in July of this year.
d. Park rental for residents
Comment: Discussion of Township Park Rental fee for residents and non-residents was discussed, emphasizing the need for the security deposit.
e. Proposed Trash Reimbursement Policy
Comment: Mr. Finch discussed the adoption of the Trash Reimbursement Policy being an action item on the February Regular Meeting agenda. He stated that the Supervisors worked with Mr. Makel to get a good draft of the policy for review.
f. Police Contract
Motion by Bracey to allow expiration of contract with the Greene County Regional Police Department, which is set to expire at the end of 2025 with no extensions, seconded by Coffield. All in favor, motion passed.
g. Savvy Citizen app for township use
Savvy Citizen representatives gave a presentation on the Savvy Citizen application and how it could be beneficial for alerts and notifications within the Township.
Motion by Bracey to approve the purchase and use of the Savvy Citizen application for 2026, seconded by Finch. All in favor, motion passed.
