The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building. Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto and Patrick Bracey, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Randy Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Rob Sanders, Mike & Bobbi Schwarz, Doug & Pegg Smith. The meeting was called to order at 7:00.
Public Participation: Randy commented on the road report and the seasonal employee’s start and end date and employment.
Doug brought up the park mowing and whether it would be cheaper for the township to purchase a mower instead of contracting it out. Rob brought up the cost of a commercial mower, and there was a lively discussion. Bartolotto stated that they could figure up all of the costs and make a comparison.
Motion by Bartolotto to approve the minutes from the February 6 meeting as written. Seconded by Bracey.
Financial Report was available to review.
Road report was available to review.
Police report was read by Bartolotto.
In old business: The LSA grant for Act 537 Planning was approved so now we are 100% funded for the Planning.
In new business: CNX requested a revised heavy haul agreement for Parcell Rd. adding a portion of the road to bring them to the township line. As we have not received the condition report from Rich Rush yet, the request will be tabled until the report is received.
Bartolotto wanted to discuss littering, especially on Plum Sock Rd. above the park, where people are tossing lots of trash that is now visible to people walking on the trail. He spoke to the police, who will put a trail cam up there to see if we can identify some of the people who are littering. Discussion on ways to curb the trash throwing.
Motion by Bartolotto to review and pay bills. Seconded by Bracey.
