The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building.
Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Dave Dietrich and Doug Smith, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Marissa King, Sam Bartolotto, Dusty Stockdale, Glenn Crouse, Pegg Smith, Tim Hamilton, Jeff Mooney, Steve Mooney. Meeting called to order at 7:30.
Motion by Smith accept minutes from December 7 meeting as written. 2nd by Dietrich. All agreed.
Certificate presented to Doug Smith for his service as Supervisor for 14 years.
Roadmaster report read. Financial report available.
CPA discussion about tax collector and VFD audits. Prices from the firm that does the township audit is $85 an hour. The accountant said she would cap them at $250. Marissa King spoke up to say she didn’t think it was necessary to pay a CPA when the auditors are elected to do just that. Smith also doesn’t think it is necessary. Motion by Smith to have the auditors do the Tax Collector and VFD audits. 2nd by Sanders.
Motion by Smith to pass Resolution 2 of 2021 to use the CPA firm of Grimm and Associates to do the Township audit for 2021 2nd by Sanders. All agreed.
Discussion on Harshman invoices. Pam spoke to Joe, who will be looking over the old billing because we feel that what we have already paid should be enough to have all of the paperwork done and the go ahead from DCNR to start. We need everything done soon so that we can get our bids lined up and are ready to go come spring. We will hopefully have a timeline by early January.
Motion by Sanders to pass Resolution 3, 2021 setting the tax rate for 2022 with no increase.
Motion by Smith to pass Resolution 4, 2021 approving the final budget for 2022. 2nd by Dietrich. All agreed.
