The Act 537 planning was awarded to Stiffler McGraw at a cost of $45,000. They received the highest score of all the proposals received.
Truck motor info: Dave has been investigating the best solution to the truck problem for the last few weeks. He presented the best deal he could come up with. That is a motor from OS Hill at $23,898.96. There will be a core return for the old motor of $4,680, bringing the cost to $19,218.96.
Labor for installation will be approximately $8-10,000.00 at Poleset. There will be a two year warranty on the motor.
There was discussion on trucks and repairs.
Motion by Bracey to purchase the motor and have it installed as stated above. Seconded by Bartolotto. All agreed.
New Business: For 2025, the PMRS has a required Employer contribution of 4.5%. Morris Twp has elected to contribute 8% as that is the amount Pennsylvania will reimburse the township. It has been agreed to keep the contribution at that rate as long as we are being reimbursed for that amount. Each year, we have an amendment to the plan stating that the contribution rate will be 8% instead of the minimum amount set by the state.
Motion by Bartolotto for Resolution 1 of 2024 accepting the plan amendment. Seconded by Bracey. All agreed.
Mention by Dietrich that the bore holes are being drilled on Dry Run to see what will need to be done about the road. There was a mention by Bruce Livingood about the dry creek beds with discussion.
Motion by Bartolotto to review and pay bills. Seconded by Dietrich. All agreed.
Update on Smith hearing: Charges were dropped because one truck had been removed and the others were registered/insured.
