Supervisor Meeting Minutes – April 5, 2022

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the Municipal Building. Present were Supervisors Sam Bartolotto, Dave Dietrich, and Rob Sanders, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Greg Dunn, Tax Collector Marissa King, Tim Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Glenn Crouse, and RC Coleman from the Washington County Sewage Council.

The meeting was called to order at 6:00.

Public Participation:  Randy asked about using another company besides Harshman to do the sewage project, about a timeline for the walking trail, about a section on the web site for public comments and about the grass mowing for the summer.

Marissa King stated for the record that the audit on her books has been completed by the Auditors.

Motion by Sanders to accept the minutes from the March 15 meeting.  Seconded by Dietrich.  All agreed.

Road master and VFD report given by Dietrich.

In old business:  The street light upgrade request has been put in with WPP.  We are waiting on a response.

We are also working on getting a piece of property from Consol to put the sewage treatment plan on.  Nothing can be done until that is secured.

New Business:  A holding tank agreement with Shaun Sanders is necessary since he has no room on his property to put in a conventional septic system.  He has given the amount required for the escrow account and had the sewage council out to approve the tank installation.  Motion by Dietrich to approve the holding tank agreement, seconded by Bartolotto. Sanders abstained as Shaun is his nephew.

The Washington County Hazard Mitigation Plan has been updated. Morris Township will adopt the plan as the official Hazard Mitigation Plan of Morris Township. Motion by Dietrich to resolution 2 of 2022 adopting the plan. Seconded by Sanders. All agreed.

RC Coleman mentioned that the Sewage Council meeting will be held May 5 in South Franklin. The township can appoint a representative to attend.

Randy stated his questions again. There was some discussion on those topics.

Glenn Crouse asked about Fios in the township. Discussion on that as well. Verizon has stated that the expect to have the entire township able to connect by the end of 2023.

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills.  Seconded by Bartolotto.  All agreed. Meeting adjourned at 6:32.
