Supervisor Meeting Minutes – April 18, 2023

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular meeting at the municipal building.  Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Dave Dietrich and Sam Bartolotto, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Doug & Pegg Smith, Tim Hamilton, Randy Hamilton.

Meeting was called to order at 6:00

Public Participation: Randy Hamilton looked at resolution and suggested that we go for as many grants as we can for the sewer project.  He also complained that the agenda for the last meeting wasn’t posted on the web site in time.  Dietrich explained that Mike Verner was on vacation.

Doug Smith thinks that any Conditional Use hearings should be later than 5:00 so that more people would be able to attend.   He asked about political signs and mowing.  There was discussion on when they should be removed.

Motion by Sanders to accept minutes as written, seconded by Bartolotto, all agreed.

Police report and road reports were read.

In old business:  Moton by Sanders to pass Resolution 1 of 2023 pertaining to the Sewage Planning 50% match grant application in the amount of $38,017.00. Seconded by Dietrich, all agreed.

New business: The old Case loader was sold on Municibid for $10,200.  It was picked up on Tuesday morning.  The money will be placed in the Capital Equipment Fund to earn interest and will go toward the payment for the new loader.

Spring Cleanup will be Saturday, May 6 from 7-4 at the cinder shed site.

We finally received a call from West Penn Power about the streetlight update.  They will be estimating the remaining life expectancy of the old lights and figuring a cost for the new LED lights according to that formula.

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills.  Seconded by Bartolotto.  All agreed. Meeting adjourned at 6:20
