The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met at the township meeting room for their regular scheduled meeting. Present were Supervisors Dave Dietrich, Rob Sanders, Doug Smith, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Planning Commission member Randy Hamilton and Adam White a representative of CNX.
Chairman Sanders called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion by Sanders, second by Smith to approve the minutes as read. The financial report was made available for inspection.
In old business, Sanders stated that the storage building is under roof.
Hook scanned over the employee handbook notes prior to his secretary compiling it into the handbook form. He stated that at this point he has no problems with it. It can be acted upon once we receive it back and he stated to make sure to let him know if any additional changes may be needed. He will wait to create the index until we finalize the manual.
Secretary received the resignation from Squeeky Clean cleaning service after sending an updated list of duties in order to figure a new quote. The second quote from Carole’s Custom Cleaning for the same list of duties was $200.00 per month for the general cleaning duties. $100.00 per quarter for quarterly window cleaning, inside & out, and $350.00 dollars for a once a year spring cleaning of washing walls. Motion by Dietrich, second by Sanders to accept Carole’s Custom cleaning quote for the rest of 2019.
In new business, CNX representative Adam White addressed the board to inform them that he will now be out in the field and will be available to be a more familiar face to the township. He stated that Steve Quinn will still be the go-to guy at CNX for road and traffic issues, but he will be able to be a helping hand when there are gaps in service or if issues overlap. Dietrich asked if White will be representing CNX and Consol? White said he represents only CNX. Smith brought up the CNX frac ponds and Adam White stated he believes the ponds will continue to be used while they have active DEP permits.
Secretary Lesnock indicated that there will be meetings when she will not be able to attend due to booked performance dates. Also, there will be some days when she will be out of town due to booked performance dates. She stated that it is possible that the Tax Collector Marissa King would be willing to take the minutes at some of those meetings and could perhaps come into the office for some hours to serve as a clerk of sorts during some of the days the secretary may be gone. The Supervisors discussed the possibility and Smith stated he would be willing to pay 75% of the secretary’s current hourly rate to Marissa during those times which amounts to $15.75 per hour. Secretary will ask Marissa King and it will be further discussed at the next meeting. Randy Hamilton brought up the possibility of getting an intern from a college, and he felt they would not be paid. Discussion ensued over the fact that some thought interns were paid and what duties could be needed. Lesnock felt that if an intern was ever brought in, after the secretary sorts through all the stored papers in the VFD attic, the intern could perhaps shred those that are deemed not mandated to be saved. Discussion ensued.
Spring clean up is scheduled for the first Saturday in May.
Motion by Dietrich, second by Sanders to review and pay bills. Motion by Dietrich, second by Smith to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:19 P.M.
