Supervisor Meeting Minutes – December 20, 2016

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met at the township office for their regular scheduled meeting. Present were Supervisors Dusty Stockdale, Doug Smith, Zoning Office Bob Sanders, Road Crew Employee Rob Sanders and resident Carl Sanders.

Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to approve the minutes as read.

In old business, Solicitor Hook has reviewed by police agreement and is okay with it. Motion by Smith, Second by Stockdale to accept and sign the 2017 Greene County Regional Police Commission contract agreement. The yearly fee of $48,672.00 will be paid from the Act 13 Impact Fee Acct., all at once.

Jim Wilson is interested in one of the 2017 Zoning Hearing Board vacancies.

Paving work was completed on Cabin and Harvey Road.

The Hathaway Notice of Violation that was sent via Certified Mail was returned to the township as it was not accepted by Mr. or Mrs. Hathaway. After some discussion, motion by Stockdale, second by Smith to have a Greene County Regional Policeman hand deliver the Notice of Violation.

The township was notified that CNX transferred to wells (NV-35 and NV-58) to Noble Energy. Noble Energy will contact us in the early new-year to meet with the township officials to make introductions.

Concerning the 2017 Budget, motion by Stockdale, second by Smith to accept Resolution #3 of 2016 and #4 of 2016 approving the 2017 Budget.

The township finally received the signed Road Closure agreement from Consol.

Rob Sanders stated that the township met with West Penn Power last Monday concerning electrical service to the cinder shed site. The approximate price for West Penn quoted for 100 AMP power service is $1,061. Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to approve West Penn Power quote. An invoice from W.P.P. will be sent to Morris Township.

Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to review and pay bills. Motion by Stockdale, second by Smith to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
