Supervisor Meeting Minutes – September 15, 2020

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular scheduled meeting at the Municipal Building.  Present were Supervisors Dave Dietrich, Rob Sanders and Doug Smith. Also present, Zoning officer Bob Sanders, Glenn Crouse, Greg Dunn, Les & Nancy Palombine, Tim Hamilton, Randy Hamilton.

Meeting called to order at 7:30.  Motion by Sanders to accept the Sept. 1 meeting minutes as read. 2nd by Smith.  All agreed.

In old business:  We’re waiting on a start date for the Weir Cole project.  The park restroom has been ordered.  The Citation for the Eddys has been filed with the magistrate.  The Bells Lake leveling project was completed yesterday.

Smith made a motion to move forward with the Roadmaster resolution that was discussed in March and at the last meeting.  2nd by Dietrich, all agreed.  Pam will contact solicitor to have it drawn up.

In new business:  Township received a resignation letter from Jim Wilson for his Zoning Hearing Board position.  We will see if someone expresses interest in the position.

The president’s tax deferment was discussed. Nobody is interested in participating.

Trick or treat will be October 25 from 2-3:00

Fall clean up day is Saturday, October 3.

Township received a letter from Kim Secreet about her services as Animal Control Officer.  Pam will call and get more info.  PSATS UC election was discussed.

Randy Hamilton asked again about the summer help end date. The position will end at the end of October. 

Road worker days and hours were discussed.  Randy Hamilton suggested a motion to go back to 5 8 hour days as opposed to 4 10 hour days.  Motion made by Smith to return to 5 days a week at the change of the clocks.  No second. 

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills.  2nd by Smith.  All agreed. Meeting adjourned at 8:02 pm.
