Supervisor Meeting Minutes – October 6, 2020

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met for their regular scheduled meeting at the Municipal Building.  Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders, Dave Dietrich and Doug Smith, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders, Gregg Dunn, Tim Hamilton, Randy Hamilton.

Meeting was called to order at 7:30.  Motion by Sanders to accept the minutes from the last meeting as read, second by Smith, all agreed.

In Old Business:  On the Weir Cole project, Rob & Dave met with contractors today.  Prep work and keyways will be done tomorrow, black top should start on Monday.

The restrooms have been ordered and assembly should start soon.

The Palombine citation is in progress.

Fall Clean up was this past weekend.  Brookmans forgot to drop off scrap box at the clean up site.  We found two in the parking lot at the building when we got here Monday morning.  All went well otherwise.

Pam spoke to Kim Secreet about the animal services.  She does not provide on call services, only monthly.  The monthly cost would not be worth it for as little as we would likely use the service.

In New Business:

The CD has reached maturity.  The rates are so low at this point, we are better off just leaving the money in the PLGIT account until rates come back up a bit.  Our checking interest is better than the CD rates at the moment.

Health insurance plan is up for renewal.  The rates on a similar plan have increased dramatically.  Dave Franz will look over the plans and advise us for the next meeting.

There was discussion on the updated Pension plan.  Motion was made by Smith to assign the title of Chief Administrative Officer to the PMRS Plan to the Secretary/Treasurer, current and future. Second by Dietrich, all agreed.

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills, second by Dietrich, all agreed.

Meeting adjourned at 7:57pm.

Respectfully Submitted,
Pamela Bartolotto, Secretary
