Supervisor Meeting Minutes – August 4, 2020

The Supervisors of Morris Township met for their regular scheduled meeting at the Morris Township Municipal Building.  Present were Supervisors Rob Sanders and Doug Smith, Glenn Crouse, Greg Dunn, Dusty Stockdale, Randy Hamilton, Tim Hamilton.

Meeting called to order at 7:30pm.

Motion by Sanders to accept the meeting minutes from July 21 as read.  2nd by Smith.

In old business:  Still no news on Weir Cole project.  Waynesburg Monument is not able to move the Veterans’ Memorial, we’ll have to try to find someone who can. 

On the Koehler spring situation, Sanders discussed the job with Watson Excavating.  After discussion, motion by Smith that the township supply the tank and stone that is necessary. 2nd by Sanders.

The paperwork for the park restroom project is almost complete.

Discussion on park rules, the examples sent by the attorney will be reviewed and used or revised to fit our township. 

On the Palombine complaint, there was discussion on whether to move forward and how it needed to be done.   The zoning officer will need to file a non traffic citation with the magistrate if nothing is done after a letter is sent to the Eddys.

There was much discussion on the zoning ordinance consolidation recommended by the solicitor. More info on the process and cost needs to be collected. 

In new business: There is a variance to set back requirements request from Dale and Katherine Leech of 49 McCormick Lane to build a garage.  It will go before the planning and zoning hearing boards before the Aug 18 meeting.

Motion by Sanders to review and pay bills.  2nd by Smith.

Meeting  adjourned at 8:35pm.
