Supervisor Meeting Minutes – August 16, 2016

The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met at the township office for their regular scheduled meeting. Present were Supervisors Doug Smith, Dave Dietrich, Dusty Stockdale, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders and resident Carl Sanders.

Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and a correction and an addition were made. Sanders stated that the Hathaway Notice of Violation was signed by Mr. Hathaway on July 29th. Secretary Lesnock made a typographical error in the minutes with the signature date of August 29, 2016. Also, Dietrich stated that the 450 tons of material delivered to the township park stockpile site, was reclaimed material from the CNX repair of Harvey Road.

Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to approve minutes as corrected, including the addition.

In old business, Dietrich stated the guiderails have been installed on Weir Cole Road and Ola’s Lane.

Regarding the previously approved EQT Conditional Use, Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to approve the wording and sign the Conditional Use Agreement that was submitted to the Supervisors by Solicitor Hook. All agreed.

Stockdale stated that Waller Corporation began moving dirt at the township building site and removed some trees at the access driveway. There will be an onsite meeting Wednesday August 24 at 9:00 A.M.

Dietrich stated that the township will need to obtain a Dozer and Excavator with operator from Wilson for a day or two, for the Ringland Ridge slip repair once the weather is a bit dryer. Discussion ensued.

Dusty said he feels the pavilion does need some upgrades such as a ceiling and some soffit and fascia, along a post or two that needs replaced. Discussion ensued.

Dietrich stated that Consol has completed the bypass road. However, it is blocked off now until the section of Archer that will be dosed, has been closed.

Morris Township received a pre-mining notification and the map can be viewed at the County Building in Washington. Stockdale stated that he will stop in to see the map when he attends the Grant Check presentation ceremony at the Redevelopment Authority on August 13th.

Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to review and pay bills. Motion by Dietrich, second by Smith to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:32 P.M.
