The Morris Township Board of Supervisors met at the township office for the 2016 reorganization meeting. Present were Supervisors Doug Smith, David Dietrich, Dusty Stockdale, Zoning Officer Bob Sanders and resident Carl Sanders.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich for Stockdale to act as temporary Chairman. Temporary Chairman Stockdale called the temporary reorganization meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Motion by Dietrich, second by Stockdale to appoint Smith as Chairman for 2016. Motion by Stockdale, second by Smith to appoint Dietrich as Vice Chairman for 2016. Motion by Dietrich, second by Stockdale to close the temporary reorganization meeting at 7:38 P.M. Chairman Smith called the reorganization meeting to order at 7:39 P.M.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to appoint Bill Hook as Solicitor. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to appoint Kathy Lesnock as Secretary/Treasurer. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to appoint Keystone Collections Group as Earned Income Tax Collector, Local Service Tax Collector and Delinquent Earned Income Tax Collector. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to maintain current depositories for 2016. Washington Financial (General Fund, Historical Society Fund, Sewage Escrow Fund, Gaming Revenue and Act 13 Impact Fee Fund), PLGIT (Liquid Fuels Fund and Equipment/Capital Imp). All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to table appointment of Citizen at Large until a later date. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to appoint Dietrich as Road Foreman. Dietrich abstained.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to appoint Bob Sanders as Zoning Officer. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to appoint Debbie Bardella as Local Realty Transfer Tax Collector. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to hold next Supervisors meeting on Tuesday January 19th at 7:30 P.M. and all subsequent meetings the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 P.M. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to appoint Tom Scherich to the ZHB for a 3 year term. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to appoint Randy Hamilton and Bob Franz to the Planning Commission for a 3 year term. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to appoint Jim Watt as Emergency Management Coordinator. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Stockdale to appoint Building Inspection Underwriters as U.C.C. Building Code Inspector. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to appoint Stockdale 2016 convention voting delegate. All agreed.
Motion by Smith, second by Dietrich to close the 2016 reorganization meeting at 7:48 P.M. All agreed.
